B2B Sales: Ways to Onboarding a Customer on Auto-Pilot
Yes! You just closed a new deal! The contract has been signed. You let your boss know. And you crack open a cold one...
…we wish…but actually, that could be your reality. 🙂
Today, you’re probably scheduling 30 minutes with your Customer Success Team, drafting a welcoming email, notifying accounting, and updating your team in Slack. But why? You should automate it all.
Automate it all. Use your CRM/Sales tool to trigger an integration when a deal is marked as Closed/Won. Some of the things you can do:
Auto-post in the #general channel on Slack / MS Teams 🎉
Send a New Customer Introduction email 💌
Bonus points if you use ChatGPT to personalize it
Connect your Accounting system (Xero, Quickbooks, Netsuite) to create a customer and invoice 💰
Guess what? I build New Customer Automations for a living and would love to help. Here’s my Calendly for a free 30-minute brainstorming session.

Automation Tip of the Week
Since this is the first newsletter, we’re going to start simple.
If you don’t already have one, get a Zapier Account.
Zapier is often the start of every Low-Code Automator’s journey. You’ll find thousands of apps to integrate, many of which you’re already using on a daily basis. Go ahead and try to build one. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but it’ll get you in the automation mindset.
For those more experienced Automators…check out Zapier Central. I’m obsessed. It’s not perfect, but it’s the future. Think of it like ChatGPT but for Automation Specialists.

AI / Automation News
Every year I get excited about what’s new at Apple’s WWDC (World Wide Developer Conference)… not just because it happens every mid-June right before my birthday. This year we expected AI to take center stage, and Apple delivered.
Introducing: Apple Intelligence
AI is coming to Apple devices this fall, like it or not. Get ready for AI-generated:
Writing tools to proofread or adjust your tone (a.k.a. turn your nasty email to be more polite)
Image editing in your photos app (a.k.a. remove your ex from last year’s travel photos)
Revamped Siri (a.k.a. she will have access to all your emails, photos, videos, schedule, and more)
Optional ChatGPT integration (a.k.a. when Siri doesn’t cut it)
Although ChatGPT has been adopted by over 180 million users, there are 1.46 billion active iPhones in the world as of 2023. If you don’t think AI has made it mainstream yet, just wait until the fall when iOS 18 is released.
